NEVER SAY NEVER!

The original Covey Promotions — Covey Pro Wrestling — was founded in 2006 by Cody Covey, a local independent professional wrestler, U.S. Army Combat Veteran, and promoter with a singular vision: bring old school professional wrestling back to the Mountain State.

From the inaugural event in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia in 2006 to the emotional final show held in that very same town and venue a decade later in 2016, Covey Pro built something rare — a genuine community institution. The promotion left a lasting mark across West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, drawing passionate fans who came not just for the action, but for the stories, the rivalries, and the moments that only live professional wrestling can deliver.

In 2009, Covey Pro took its product to the airwaves with a weekly television program on WJAL TV, broadcast on Dish Network and all local cable stations throughout the region — which included the Greater Washington, DC Metro Area. Every Saturday Night at 11 PM, fans across the four-state area could tune in and follow the drama, the championships, and the characters that made Covey Pro unlike anything else on television. The show ran continuously until 2016 — seven years of must-see local wrestling television.

Beyond the ring and the broadcast, Covey Pro invested in the future of professional wrestling through the Covey Pro Dojo Wrestling Academy. For its first three years, the school was led by a WWE Legend — Tatanka — whose guidance and expertise helped shape the next generation of professional wrestlers. The Dojo produced countless graduates who have gone on to compete at the national level or continue to thrive on the independent circuit to this day, including talent that has appeared in All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and Women of Wrestling.

We are immensely proud of the legacy we have built and the mark Covey Pro has left on professional wrestling in our region. None of it would have been possible without the incredible fans who packed the venues, cheered their heroes, booed the villains, and made every single show feel like a main event. To every fan who ever bought a ticket, watched the show, or simply believed in what we were doing — thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and God Bless.
